Prepare for a rewarding career as an educator in cosmetology with our SSPA Instructor Licensure Course. This comprehensive program equips aspiring educators with essential teaching skills necessary for entry-level employment in various cosmetology disciplines including Cosmetologist, AP Esthetician, Esthetician, Nail Technician, and Eyelash Technician.
Our course is endorsed by the Board of Cosmetology and fulfills the requirements for licensure examination eligibility set by the Minnesota Board of Cosmetologists.
Upon completion, you'll step into the classroom with confidence, armed with the knowledge and skills needed to excel as an instructor.
STRUCTURE: Online, Self-paced, Instructor Supported
Our course is conveniently structured as an online, self-paced program with instructor support provided through Milady CIMA. Participants will engage in virtual or in-person sessions scheduled regularly or as arranged on Zoom.
What To Expect:
Duration: 8-week online self-paced course (approximately 5.6 hours per week commitment)
Attendance: Zoom meetings with live instructors on prescheduled Monday evenings during the course. (6pm-7pm)
Assessment: Virtual Practical Presentation on the scheduled date (with one makeup date available)
Location: In-person sessions, if any, will be conducted at 2626 E. 82nd Street, Knowledge Loop Suite 103, Bloomington, MN 55425.

$640 online course - Includes the Milady Master Educator 4th Edition e-textbook and a PDF copy of MN Cosmetology Law & Rule.
$740: online course - Includes a hard copy of the Milady Educator 4th Edition textbook and a hard copy of MN Law & Rule books. (Mylady hard copy must be purchased at registration and is only used to support your study. The course must be completed online.)

*SSPA reserves the right to cancel a course or move registrants to another scheduled Minnesota instructor Licensure course if enrollment is insufficient.
PLEASE NOTE: Enrolees must have at least 2,700 hours of experience as a licensed Cosmetologist, Nail technician, Esthetician, AP Esthetician, or Eyelash Technician in a licensed salon, supervised by a licensed manager, within the three years before testing and applying for licensure.
